On September 15 the 50th anniversary of the ASI, the Italian Historic Vehicle Federation, was celebrated by an International symposium at the Museo dell’Automobile in Turin.
This included a tour of Turin with 120 cars plus motor cycles, trucks buses and military vehicles. The highlight of the Tour was the arrival at the famous Fiat factory in Lingotto which has its own oval test track on the roof reached by a spiral ramp.
Of particular interest to Grand Prix Drivers Club members was that one of our Honorary members, Mario Theissen, is a Senior Vice-President of FIVA and during the ceremonies
The ASI President Roberto Loi presented an award given to long term members of the ASI, to Grand Prix Drivers Club Secretary General. Theo Huschek in memory of Maria-Teresa de Filippis.
